Turning Five + Christmas Fun

Sasha marked her fifth birthday with a Little Mermaid party. We debated whether to celebrate somewhere fun or keep the party at home. Ultimately, partying at home prevailed due to budgetary reasons. And you know what? The kids probably had more fun. I made a shark pinata that was really cool, and Sasha knocked it down. Amy picked a fun craft, coloring pillow cases and tiny cloth bags with different branded characters such as Tinker Bell and Sasha's personal favorite, Wizards of Waverly Place.

We also did our annual trek to Lebanon, Ohio to find our Christmas tree. It's a lovely little farm. The trees are cheap, the popcorn and cocoa are free, and we had a wind chilled time picking out the perfect tree. Our house is decorated in blue lights because we like being different. The tree is up and looking good. So far Lily hasn't chewed on any of the ornaments. Good dog!





Juliet has been enjoying some special Daddy time while Sasha has been at pre-k. Juliet has been in constant competition with Sasha for getting to do stuff, so she has bragging rights to seeing reindeer at Bass Pro Shop, Santa at the museum, and Santa's underwater sleigh at the aquarium. Now if we could only get those things all in one place.
